Big Bank Fees

Tom Neumann, our Executive VP/COO, talks about the First Source approach to fees, especially in response to recent legislation requiring financial institutions to take on the extra cost of debit card fees. In response to the new law, many big banks added fees to their cards, some added monthly fees, and others changed their requirements to get “free” cards and services. We continue to give you free (no-fee) debit cards. We avoid fees when possible, and when we can’t, we keep them low. Simple. Remember, at First Source, “free” means…”free”.

I went to the bank yesterday to take cash out and did an inquiry first. I was balancing my check book this morning only to find that first source charged me to use a first source atm to withdraw cash! and even worse they charged me to do an inquiry!!!! I have never heard of such a thing. A bank that charges it’s customers to use their own ATM’s and inquire as to how much cash they have! this is rediculous. I regret moving from Americu to First source and I will be moving everything back today! Great way to lose your bankers first source.

Disregard that last comment I made. apparently it’s something wrong with the ATM out front AGAIN. I should have known better not to use it. Every time I do it’s a problem. 🙁
