First Source Employees Raise Funds for the Children’s Miracle Network

Friday, September 24th, 2010

First Source employees had the option to wear jeans on Wednesday September 15th to help raise funds for the Children’s Miracle Network. With the money raised that day, First Source purchased and donated 144 blue and pink bears dressed as scrub nurses for the children that come in for surgeries at Faxton-St. Luke’s Hospital. Michelle Adams, Children’s Miracle Network Coordinator, had this to say about the donation:

“First Source Federal Credit Union has been a wonderful and long-time supporter of our Children’s Miracle Network at Faxton St. Luke’s Healthcare. Recently, First Source donated teddy bears to our pediatric patients, a timeless gift that our littlest patients love. The bears bring smiles to faces, remind them that someone is thinking of them and are a wonderful gift that will remain with them for years to come. We are so thankful for all First Source does for our area’s children.”

Daryl Crouch to Ride for Missing Children in Albany

Wednesday, September 22nd, 2010

First Source employee, Daryl Crouch, is participating in the 3rd Annual Ride for Missing children – Greater Capital District in Albany on September 24th. After participating in this year’s Ride in Utica, this is what Daryl had to say:

“Being a first year rider I have really taken to the cause and purpose behind the ride. I have attended the closing ceremonies a number of times in years past with my own young children, but never saw all that went into making the ride a success. So many people doing so much to make sure our children are safe and bringing home those children that have gone missing. I wanted to do more to support the cause and give back a little more than just participate in the annual ride.”

The purpose of “The Ride” is to honor the memory of all missing children, to raise public awareness of the plight of all missing and exploited children and the need for child safety education, and to raise funds to support the missing children poster distribution process and mission of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
