7 First Source employees and 2 family members are getting serious about their commitment to ride over 90 miles on May 21st as a part of The Ride For Missing Children. This is what First Source employee Daryl Crouch had to say about his commitment:
What does this 100 mile Ride mean to you?
For me it is more than a bike ride. It about raising awareness that there are many children that need our help in our local area. 400 riders, riding as one team sends a tremendous message to the community that we are committed to bringing the children home.
As a first time rider, what words describe how you are feeling about the big day?
I am looking forward to it with a great deal of excitement. I have watched the ride as a spectator for many years as the riders arrive at the New Hartford Rec Center. It is very emotional and moving to see the riders come in. I can’t wait to be a part of that group as one of the riders.
Training starts this weekend, are you ready???
Yes. I have been working out since last month and I rode 14 miles one day this week. By far a personal best and my first time ever on a “real” bike. I am ready for the 1st training ride but have a long way to go to be ready for 100 miles the day of the ride.
First Source is the luminary sponsor this year!
